Simple, right? But always delicious no matter what, with powdered sugar or jam, they are very good!
- 400 g flour
- peel of a lemon
- 1 glass of milk
- 30 g of fresh yeast
- a pinch of salt
- a teaspoon of sugar
- 2 eggs.
- 50 g butter
- 400 ml oil
- Strawberry jam
Preparation time: less than 30 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Donuts with strawberry jam:
First, heat the milk on the fire, then add the yeast and sugar and leave it to ferment for about 15 minutes.
In a bowl or pan, put flour, eggs, salt powder, lemon peel, melted butter and yeast and mold until it no longer sticks to hands.
Leave to rise for about an hour, then spread the dough on a board and cut the donuts with a cup or the mouth of a glass.
We put them in the oil bath and take them out when they are brown.
Serve with any kind of jam, cheese. I greased them with a homemade strawberry jam.
for a more perfect taste, you can add a sachet of vanilla sugar to the dough.
Fresh donuts with strawberry jam
Mix the yeast with a little sugar and milk, mix until it dissolves, put a little flour on top and leave to rise for 10-15 minutes.
Boil the potatoes in their skins. When they are ready, pass them under a stream of cold water, clean them and pass them.
We put the rest of the flour in the tub of tomorrow's car (or in a bowl if it is kneaded by hand), we add the mashed potatoes, mayonnaise, rum essence, egg, the rest of the sugar dissolved in the rest of the milk, the soft butter at room temperature and knead a firm dough, but quite sticky.
- Since the potato dough has the property of absorbing a lot of liquid, at first the dough will seem hard and difficult to knead. As it is kneaded you will see that it softens and you will even have to add more flour.
Leave to rise until it doubles in volume.
Pour the dough on a well-floured table and divide into balls of about 50-60 g each. We stretch them a little with the bridge of the palm, and with the thumb we make a hole in the middle. Let them rise again, about 15-20 minutes.
We take each piece of dough, form the hole in the middle again and fry it in a pot with a lot of oil.
Brown on both sides and remove on an absorbent towel.
Fill the pits with strawberry jam and powder with plenty of sugar.
Cold Cake with Jam and Mascarpone Cream
Put the 10 tablespoons of sugar in a tray and melt them on the eye of the stove. Once the sugar has melted, spread it on the entire surface of the tray and leave it to cool.
Separate the eggs from the yolks and beat the egg whites hard with a pinch of salt and another 2-3 tablespoons of sugar, then add the yolks and semolina and continue beating. Pour the composition into the pan over the melted and cooled sugar and bake for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil the milk and when the top is baked, pour the hot milk over it and then let it cool. When it has cooled, add the jam, then the mascarpone cream or whipped cream on the entire surface of the cake. Leave in the fridge until the 2nd day.
- 1 kg of strawberries washed and peeled, cut into pieces (about 8 cups)
- 1 kg of sugar (about 4 cups)

Mix the sugar and strawberries in a deep bowl and heat over low heat for about 5 minutes, until the resulting sauce is clear. Remove from the heat and incorporate the lemon juice, then cover with a cloth or towel, lightly, without squeezing and leave to rest overnight.
The next day, prepare everything to put Strawberry jam in jars. Boil water from a deep bowl and sterilize jars and lids for about 5 minutes. Extinguish the fire, but leave the jars and lids in hot water until you are ready to use them.
Heat 2 cups of strawberry mixture and juice in a deep frying pan over medium heat for 10 minutes. When the strawberries start to boil over low heat, you can start cooking, stirring often, for 3-5 minutes (until it reaches the consistency you want). Put the mixture in sterilized jars, then screw on the lids.
To complete the sterilization process, place a deep bowl of water back to the boil and the covered jars inside the bowl. Cook for 5 minutes. You will notice that the jar is well sterilized if, in the end, when you press the lid, it does not "jump back".
This one Strawberry jam causes instant addiction. Honestly, no matter how much jam I cooked, I don't think there will ever be a jar left in the pantry over the winter! And I don't think it's because of the colorful label.

Tip (for jam or strawberry jam):
Cover the pan with a wet napkin or gauze. This way the crust will not form on top and mosquitoes or wasps will not enter.

Diet donuts filled with Raureni strawberry jam
In a large bowl, mix the flour with the yeast. Separately, beat the egg with the sugar, warm milk and 50 grams of butter.
Form a hole in the middle of the flour and yeast mixture and add the egg, sugar, milk and butter mixture, then start kneading.
When the dough is almost ready, add the other 50 grams of butter and a little salt. Continue to knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.
The composition is covered with a kitchen towel and left to rise for about an hour.
When it has risen, it is spread on the table powdered with flour. Roll out the dough until a not very thick sheet results. Cut round shapes with a glass.
Place the resulting donuts in a tray lined with baking paper. Before putting them in the oven, they must be left to ferment for another hour.
Place the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees C for about 15 minutes. When they are ready, fill them with Raureni Diet strawberry jam. Good appetite!
